We often find in treating chronic illnesses, especially Lyme disease and Co-infections that there is a hyper sensitivity to so many things and this can include our remedies.
But, help is at hand and to coin a phrase I often use (I think it might be my epitaph!) “There’s a remedy for that”. In fact there are several remedies for that.
Mercurius Solublis, Medorrinhum, Pulsatilla Nigricans, Nux-vomica, Sulphur are some of the remedies listed in my repertory. If you want to have a look for yourself, its in the Clinical-Generals chapter. The rubric is “Sensitive, homeopathic, remedies, oversensitive to”.
There are 25 remedies under this rubric and, there are also sub-rubrics. These are symptoms which come under the same heading.
The sub-rubrics are: high potencies; overacts without curing; quick reaction; wants of susceptibilty to – this basically means undersensitive, an underreaction, or no reaction at all.
Interestingly, there is also a rubric under Sensitive which reads “drugs, to allopathic” with 13 remedy suggestions.
If we have an oversensitivity to both homeopathic remedies and allopathic medications, we can cross-reference here and see which remedies are in both rubrics.
Its really not uncommon with Lyme and Co’s to see this over reaction to any kind of drugs and medications – including homeopathy.
The remedy which is highly indicated in both of these rubrics is our familiar Nux-vomica. A great liver support and indicated for liver disorders, causations include ill effects of drugs so we can see how this remedy would be helpful.
I use it a lot in Lyme treatment and have also used others of the indicated remedies to calm this oversensitivity.
